Top 3 Santiago attractions

Number 1: Cerro San Cristobal - In Santiago there is an enormous hill in the middle of the city. His name is “Cerro San Cristobal”. People use the hill to hiking and running. Around this hill's road there are places to make barbecues and picnic. There are 2 swimming pools also: Antilen and Tupahue. In the summer those pools are the most popular of the city. In the top of the hill there is a beautiful statue of the Virgin Maria. This is the religions holidays center for the catholic devotees.

Number 2: Museo Parque de las Esculturas - Next to the Mapocho river, there is an interesting place. His name is Museo Parque de las Esculturas (Sculpture Park Museum). It is an outdoor museum where there are a lot of statues from different countries sculptors. In my opinion the most beautiful sculpture in there, is the “Toro”. Its material is forged steel, and his author is Sergio Castillo.

Number 3: Plaza de Armas - Plaza de Armas is the geografic politic center of Chile. Around it there are a lot of historical buildings, such as the Central Post Office Building, the Metropolitan Santiago Cathedral, the Firefighters Building, and the Historical National Museum. In his sidewalks there are a lot of artists that sold his paintings.

My favourite electronic gadget

My favourite pieces of technology always will be my mobiles. Right now my mobile is an Iphone, and I’m falling love for it. My Iphone is the best when I need communicate with my family and friends, because it has all connectivity ways with they: emails, SMS (text messages), Facebook, Twitter, and I can call them also!!!  The Iphone has a lot of functionalities, such as Maps, GPS, weather predictions, camera, music and videos downloads, and you can buy funny games through the Itunes. My Iphone is a friend, but is a kind of chain also, because I'm connected all the time with it...

How I use my laptop at work

My laptop is a great tool for my job. I use it for a lot of technical issues, principally for modelling and designing system applications. I use my machine for meeting when I need take notes and make presentations. In my laptop there are many special folders where I keep important projects information, such as schedules, commercial proposals, contracts, technical documentations, templates, etc. My emails and web contacts are saved in my laptop also. Well, if my computer dies, I will die with it too…

Ronald Harris’s biography

Ronald Harris was born on April, 4, 1973 in Santiago, Chile. His parents are Jorge Harris and Juanita Morales.

In the school he was the first student of his class, standing out in History and Language.

But when he was a university student, he was helper in Calculus and Physic, among another.

When he was young, Ronald practiced martial arts. He is black belt in Karate Gojo Ryu and he won a lot of Karate championships.

Since his childhood, Ronald enjoys read and write poetry and tales. To date, his texts has been published in three anthologies, two in Spain (Cordoba and Barcelona), and in Chile, he was invited to publish in the “Intramuros” anthology.

This project was showed in the “Feria del Libro de Santiago”, on September 2006.

Ronald has a little child; his name is Nicolás, and he is 5 years old.

Right now, Ronald working in Kapsch Chile, such as project manager to Parque Arauco project.

He works in the company since 7 years, and he want stay in Kapsch for much longer.

What's your favorite website?

My favorite website is Facebook, because I can connect with my friends (especially with my woman friends). In this site I post different topics from my life, such as sentimental status or my interest. If you want, you can upload pictures and videos, or put funny pages's links . In my opinion, Facebook changed the way people communicate. However Facebook has a really big problem: is very addictive. A lot of friends takes a lot of hours of their life, watching the page and chatting with their friends (and with me too). On the other hand, I have a good friend that found a boyfriend on Facebook, and they will marry soon. I visit the page regularly, one or two times at least in a day. Facebook is changing every day, improving its tools and features. But the page have not a video call yet: this would be a great feature. The URL page is: www.facebook.com.

Snoop Dogg - I wanna take my time... baby!!!

Sunday night I went to Maquinaria Festival 2011. I seen (and I heard, obviously) Primus, Snoop Dogg and Stone Temple Pilots (Scott Weiland is a genius!!!). Was a great concert, and seizing the moment, I practiced my english, singing all songs that was they played... yeah!!!

Kapsch product description

Kapsch Chile is currently working on an innovative project. This new project will allow access to Parque Arauco parking with the tag technology. The product used for this purpose is the antenna TRX1321. This antenna allows read the tag, until 48 km/hr. To access this integration service between parking and tag, the costumers have to sign an “addendum” in his current contract with the urban highway's concessional. The “addendum” allows to charge the parking items in the Concessional's invoice.

When the user enters to the parking lot, the antenna installed on the line, reads the tag and reports to the parking system if the tag is authorised in the Access List. This Access List is provided for de Concessional Entity. If tag is authorised, the parking system opens the barrier, and allows access for the client’s vehicle. In the exit, the process is the same, but in this, charge is calculated based on the stay time in the parking lot.
